EXAMINATION
We’ll book you an appointment to come in for a free consultation with one of our certified Canine and Feline Oral Hygiene Specialists. Sylvia, Jessica or Victoria will examine your dog or cat’s mouth to determine if your pet is a candidate for anesthetic-free teeth cleaning. Any abnormalities will be charted and discussed with you during this consultation. Referral to your Veterinarian may be required if serious problems are found inside the mouth.
CLEANING
If your pet is a candidate for our services, they will be safely and comfortably positioned in our laps while slowly being introduced to ultrasonic or manual scaling tools. We then thoroughly remove all calculus and tarter build-up from all surfaces on the outside and inside of the teeth from the gum line down. Our Hygiene Specialists then polish to keep the teeth smooth and apply a conditioner to the gums to strengthen the tissue.
All Oral Hygiene Specialists have had training in animal behavior and work with each pet to find what approach works best for them. In order to gain the trust and attention of each pet, we must work one-on-one with your cat or dog, and ask that you leave them with us while we start the cleaning. Our main priority is the safety and health of your pet.
When you come back to pick up your pet, we will discuss how to maintain oral health at home, including: how to brush, what products you’ll want to use to keep the gums and teeth healthy, and how to use them. We carry and use natural products that are always available for purchase to use at home. We will also get you set up for regular cleanings to keep your pet’s teeth clean. We currently offer three month, six month and yearly cleaning reminders; or ask us about our Monthly Maintenance Program where your pet will receive a full cleaning every month for $25.00.
